Winter Aconite Open House [More Info]

The Friends of Sterling Nature Center will be hosting a Pancake Brunch from 11am to 1pm, volunteers & members FREE, public is also welcome and asked to make a donation to the Friends of Sterling Nature Center for all their hard work throughout the year. .
The Sterling Nature Center's Open House is to celebrate the blooming of the first flowers, winter aconite. Every year as February draws to an end and we struggle to break winter's grip the winter aconite with its six golden rays of hope pushes up through the frozen ground and snow.
After enjoying your pancakes look over the exhibits or do some armchair bird watching at the bird feeding stations. There will also be a hike to cure your cabin fever and look for early signs of spring at 1pm. The program is free and open to the public.
